A message of support.

Hello sweet readers!! I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the current state of the world. There are a million and a half voices that are far more educated and qualified to speak on Black Lives Matter than me, so I strongly encourage you to look to creators of color for more information and understanding.

I’ve been radio silent during the past few weeks because I didn’t want my content potentially clogging feeds and preventing readers from seeing content from BIPOC and people who can do a better job educating on this issue. I apologize if my silence came across as complicity.

To sum this up, I agree that Black lives matter and wholeheartedly support this movement. Nothing I have to say would be any more eloquent than what’s already been said, so I’ll just leave it there. Below are some resources that I find insightful and important. This is not an exhaustive list by any means, so please share any resources that you find impactful and influential and I’ll be happy to add those to this post.

A Google Drive that contains tons of articles from various scholars.

NPR’s podcast, Code Switch.

A list of 100 black authors.

Let’s all listen, be kind, and spread love. XO, Annie
