It’s the week of Thanksgiving and I’m looking forward to a proper feast on Thursday.  Thanksgiving undoubtedly has the best food of all the holidays, so I made a list of all my favorite books about food.

With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo
Emoni, a teen mom who finds comfort and community in well-seasoned food, enters a cooking program at her Philadelphia school.  She earns the opportunity to travel to Spain and study under master chefs while debating what she envisions for her life after high school.

This short story collection revolves around Hungry Hearts Row, a street notorious for its delicious and diverse food scene.  The stories range across genres and the descriptions of the dishes are absolutely mouth-watering.

Geekerella by Ashley Poston
Unlucky-in-love Elle works in an eccentric food truck called The Magic Pumpkin as a part of this modern Cinderella retelling.  This book is an ode to nerd culture and features some delicious dishes along the way!

Lunch in Paris: A Love Story, with Recipes by Elizabeth Bard
Elizabeth Bard’s semi-memoir features a delectable story about a young American woman who took lunch with a handsome Frenchman, and fell in love.  With the city, with the food, and especially with Gwendal.  The book also includes several recipes so you can cook along with the story!
